Overview 

The Intel 740 features set is a graphics hardware tool furnishing with different functions that can improve the speed and visual quality of 2D and 3D applications.  The Intel 740 works with the open GL Microsoft Direct X and Windows 32 programming interface.  Both the open GL and the Direct X APIs allow graphics programs a standard way to invoke 2D, 3D functions and let software applications to be hardware independent.  The Intel 740’s accelerated functions are callable from the open GL, Direct X and Windows 32 application programs.
